Our Roots

The brilliant woman for who we are named, Nancy herself, studied the traditional Vermont style of bagel baking in an unlikely place - Wyoming, where she fell in love with the bakery life, the rugged terrain, and the adventurous spirit of the American West. She brought both the bagel tradition and the adventure back to Louisville, and opened Nancy's Bagel Grounds in 1996. In 2017, she passed the torch on to her close friend, Anne. Under her leadership, we will find our new home at the corner of Spring and Payne in April 2018 - we can't wait to share our new space with you!


Our food

Nancy's is proud to serve up the only authentic boiled and baked bagel recipe in town, but our ambitions don't stop at having the best bagels. Get fresh deli cut sandwiches, scratch-made soups, salads, wraps, and smoothies to make your breakfast and lunch plans the kind that make you feel recharged - not sluggish.
